We’re living in the age of information technology, and this era is governed by creativity, innovation and continuous advancement. The only constant is change, and just as quickly as new products hit the market, the demand for even better and faster is driven by consumers that grab the latest gadget with both hands.

Enter the iPhone 13, Apples latest brainchild. Retailers reported supply shortages on pre-orders just 3 days after announcements were made. One thing is certain – an excellent advertising strategy is vital. The iPhone 13 outperformed its predecessor by a mile, but it was more interesting to note the demand for the various models.

The pre-order for the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max were marginally higher than the more entry-level iPhone Mini and standard iPhone 13. Even in a time of economic decline, it would seem that consumers are more willing to invest in gadgets with superior features. Or, quite frankly, those that would appear to be the top of the range.

The next generation in the iPhone family was set for impressive performance indeed, with the lower range models boasting incredible features that include the most advanced dual-camera system that iPhone has ever produced. Most of the upgrades seem to focus more on the actual camera and improving on photographic and cinematic modes that managed to hit the sweet spot for better video telling. Undoubtedly, the firm has clearly understood the need for the awesome aesthetics that drive the social media world today, along with meeting consumers demands in a one-stop-shop that delivers as it should.

Along with its camera improvements, iPhone has delivered overall with greater efficiency in its A15 Bionic battery that boasts longer battery life, as well as its innovative ceramic shield front cover and an advanced 5G experience. And of course, there’s no better way to grab the eye than with the introduction of 5 brilliant new colours, leaving consumers spoilt for choice! In typical Apple style, these features come with an impressive price tag, but in typical Apple consumer-style, it’s one that many are willing to overlook.

Apple has definitely both claimed and earned its place as a market leader in the industry. Although the company previously focused on the more practical features such as overall performance and speed, we’re glad that they’ve decided to play catch up with the changes to its camera features. This without a doubt has piqued curiosity and worked to attract the attention that it’s received.

It is estimated that there are at least 250 million Apple users that are due for upgrades, a clear indication of where sales could be headed should these users choose not to hold on to their current models. But again, in typical Apple style, there are already rumours about an upcoming 1TB model; true or not, we cannot say. And whether this leak is the wet blanket on the current hype is hard to tell.

That’s the joy of constant change and innovation. Apple is probably already hands-on with the next generation, so, as usual, we just keep our ears to the ground!
